Luke 17, 7-10

by Fr. Luis A. Zazano
Luke 17, 7-10

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 17,7-10.

Jesus said to the Apostles: “Who among you would say to your servant who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, ‘Come here immediately and take your place at table’?
Would he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You may eat and drink when I am finished’?
Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded?
So should it be with you. When you have done all you have been commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.'”

Do what needs to be done

1) To Serve: everyone in this world has an assigned task. You can’t play dumb and make a routine out of your life. Do not let yourself be fooled by a routine life. Learn that in life, we must be doing what our vocation calls us to do. It gives our life meaning.

2) Be Grateful: this is what we must show in life. Be grateful to God and for all that we have. Don’t always look at what you are missing or possible future problems. Do not let pessimism take over.

3) Fulfill your duty: you are called to your duty. You have your rights as a Christian but you must also fulfill your duty as a Christian.

As part of your duties you must defend our Catholic Church, you must at work evangelizing, and also care for and support the church. We all have rights and responsibilities and we must fulfill both. Get to work !

God bless you in the name of the Father… and remember, Heaven is our goal.

Your contribution help us to continue with our mission
God Bless You!
