Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 7,14-23
Jesus summoned the crowd again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand.
Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person; but the things that come out from within are what defile.”
When he got home away from the crowd his disciples questioned him about the parable.
He said to them, “Are even you likewise without understanding? Do you not realize that everything that goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
since it enters not the heart but the stomach and passes out into the latrine?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
But what comes out of a person, that is what defiles.
From within people, from their hearts, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder,
adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly.
All these evils come from within and they defile.”
The Lord invites to see the external is what it is and the internal is what tarnishes what it already is and must change
1) The external: it is what is in front of you and you must face, but you also blame if things do not happen the way you want. Or you try to use a scapegoat to blame for my conscience to be liberated. Be careful, analyze what you are doing because you might be using other people. This leads to make big mistakes.
2) The internal: it is what is inside of me and I must work to fix. This is where Jesus wants to be, working inside you, not condemning you but giving you light. Sometimes we make mistakes judging others from our weaknesses and this is incorrect. You subject others to your whims and not from an objective point of view. You do not get to know others as they are rather like you see them. You must in life manage what you have been given and do the best you can. Let us pray to Jesus to liberate all our internal pressures, but not in a way that threatens others.
3) Things do not change there are things in life you must learn to endure so they make you a better person.
