Mark 8, 22-26

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 8,22-26

When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Bethsaida, people brought to him a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. Putting spittle on his eyes he laid his hands on him and asked, “Do you see anything?”
Looking up he replied, “I see people looking like trees and walking.”
Then he laid hands on his eyes a second time and he saw clearly; his sight was restored and he could see everything distinctly.
Then he sent him home and said, “Do not even go into the village.”

To see

1) Blind: in today’s gospel, we find a person who becomes blind, who is not blind from birth. We know this, because he says ” he saw trees” which means that he once saw them. Maybe today you can realize that in the path of life you can progressively go blind, because you stop seeing the reality of life or you lose the precision to see it as it is.

2) Saliva: God uses signs, sensible signs that we need to feel and experience. Ask Jesus to cure the temporary blindness that dominates your life in your emotions or you psyche. Ask Jesus for the light to see Him as he really is and to how you see Him.

3) Do not enter: Jesus warns not to enter the city in order to prevent any conflict. Sometimes it is prudent not to get involved because they may lead you to addictions such as alcohol or gambling. These temptations may lead to your destruction. Today we ask Jesus to heal us in order to lift the blindness. Look for the temptations that have blinded you and ask for help to remove them..

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Take care!
