John 8,21-30

John 8, 21-30

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 8,21-30

Jesus said to the Pharisees: “I am going away and you will look for me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going you cannot come.”
So the Jews said, “He is not going to kill himself, is he, because he said, ‘Where I am going you cannot come’?”
He said to them, “You belong to what is below, I belong to what is above. You belong to this world, but I do not belong to this world.
That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “What I told you from the beginning.
I have much to say about you in condemnation. But the one who sent me is true, and what I heard from him I tell the world.”
They did not realize that he was speaking to them of the Father.
So Jesus said (to them), “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I AM, and that I do nothing on my own, but I say only what the Father taught me.
The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him.”
Because he spoke this way, many came to believe in him.

Seek Him and live

1) They will seek me. We are walking on the path of Lent … remember that it is a special time to seek God. He invites you to look for Him because it is easy to lose Him in this world. Do not stop looking for God! A soul without God is empty; don’t let emptiness fill you… fill yourself with God!
Show Him to those around you and fill their lives with the peace and love that come from God.

2) From above. Remember that your world points to Heaven and your heart must cry out to Heaven. Don’t feel down because things don’t come out as you planned. Don’t feel miserable, because the story of your life doesn’t end here. Come on! You must go on! Your story ends with a party in Heaven.

3) He has not left me alone. Never forget that God is with you and will never hurt you. As Christians, we must never leave one another alone. We must be a community. I know that there are hard moments, but God will not abandon you. You and I must always be near those who are suffering or are undergoing hardships; to help them, to listen to them and remind them that they are never alone. God is always with us. Never forget that!

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Please remember me in your prayers, so I can also go to Heaven, because Heaven is our goal!
