Matthew 11,20-24

Matthew 11, 20-24

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 11,20-24

Jesus began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, since they had not repented.
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes.
But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
And as for you, Capernaum: ‘Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.’ For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

God has already done things in your life

1) To reproach: The Gospel begins with this. To recriminate all the places where Jesus made the most miracles. Turn the question around, think, what would Jesus recriminate about us and we do not change? Reflect upon the many times Jesus has saved our lives or has taken dangers out of our lives. It seems many of us like to walk in danger, testing the boundaries.

2) Conversion: This means to change and look at life from another viewpoint, change habits and attitudes. It is often hard to examine what changes must me made in our lives. If you answer the question, I do not have to make any changes, you must begin with pride where you must examine yourself, being humble.

3) Miracle: God works in mysterious ways, provides many miracles, and works wonders in your life. You are a miracle of life. But you must not look from an extraordinary point of view rather from a daily and ordinary point of view. Be humble. The fact that you have health and food is a miracle. Come on. Life passes by quickly and we must be thankful for all the miracles in our lives.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
