Luke 6,39-42

Luke 6 39-42

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 6,39-42

Jesus told his disciples a parable : “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit?
No disciple is superior to the teacher; but when fully trained, every disciple will be like his teacher.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,’ when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.”

Look at yourself and don’t look so much at others

1) Guides: There are times when we pay more attention to others’ lives than our own. We give our opinion about their conduct and even meddle in their lives. First, take a look at yourself; discover and understand your own behavior. Once you have achieved this, you can illuminate others. God’s proposal is that you get to know yourself; do not suffocate other people. Each one has his own life process. Each has a different path to follow in order to achieve happiness. This path might not be totally unique, but it is unique to you !

2) Disciple: Jesus shows us His ways and His battles. You also have your ways and your battels. However, you must try to improve day by day. You have the power to change, just do it. Demand more of yourself,
; give the good fight, and overcome yourself. Every day is an opportunity for your daily training to grow and improve. During this year, what did you manage to change about yourself? Think about it.

3) Get out: To help others, first there must be a change in you. It is very easy to look at others, but it’s difficult to look at yourself. It even cost me a lot … in a very difficult time in my life, a friend of mine suggested that I listen to my own audios; (I never read or listened to myself because I’m ashamed), but listening to two of my own audios I found the answer to the situation I was facing. Today, I propose that you look and listen to yourself. Reflect from that perspective. Perhaps you might come up with a solution to some problem in your life. So many times we look for answers elsewhere, but really, the answers are within us.

God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Remember, Heaven is our goal.
