Mark 1,7-11

Mark 1 7-11

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 1,7-11

This is what John the Baptist proclaimed: “One mightier than I is coming after me. I am not worthy to stoop and loosen the thongs of his sandals.
I have baptized you with water; he will baptize you with the holy Spirit.”
It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John.
On coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him.
And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

Baptism is your greatest gift

1 John. He is a humble man who makes clear what his mission is so that people are not confused with him. Yes, he makes sure that it is clear. Let’s learn from that courage because you and I are often bitten by the bug of narcissism that leads us to believe that we are messiahs, saviors. And even if people praise you, remember and remind them who you are and what your mission is. Don’t take on functions that aren’t yours. Take responsibility for your reality and make sure it is clear to others who you are. Make things clear because people get confused and may easily end up idolizing you. And you and I often like to be idolized by others, and you know that this does not end well.

2 Baptism. It is a purification, a turning point, a change. For whoever is baptized has a before and an after. It is true that many of us were baptized without having been asked and we don’t always fully understand everything related to baptism. But I want to make it clear to you that baptism is the gateway to Catholicism. We are a family and this sacrament is our DNA. How nice it is to walk together as a family!

3 Divine Filiation. I will not get tired of telling you that the greatest thing you and I have is that we are children of God and therefore heirs of all God’s grace. No one can take away the dignity God has given you. Do you realize how much God loves you? Today God sets a course for you, and this course is that you have a mission, a commitment, a supernatural mission that is paradise, heaven. And your life must be a pathway towards this paradise, to heaven, because paradise is yours. God made it for you and me. Do you realize how much God loves you? Are you aware of the greatness God shows us through our baptism? Wake up because God is closer to you than you can imagine.
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Remember, Heaven is our goal!

Your contribution help us to continue with our mission
God Bless You!
