John 6:16-21

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6: 16-21

When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea,
embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum.
It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.
When they had rowed about three or four miles,
they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat,
and they began to be afraid.
But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.”
They wanted to take him into the boat,
but the boat immediately arrived at the shore
to which they were heading.

Do not fear, it is I

1) It was night: It is the moment when fear and distrust appear. When the waves crash against you and change the direction of the path you must take. You have to fight against the tide in the night of life. One can get dizzy and not see well, so put all your strength into avoid sinking, and have a firm hand as to not let everything around you sink. Use all your strength to get to the other shore, because whoever tries new things in life must face them… but this is how you grow, gain, and learn.
2) They were afraid: They come to Jesus but they think he is a ghost. It is often hard for us to see God; it makes us scared, but if we do not have a strong faith it can lead us to be scared in the presence of God rather than alleviated. Fear paralyzes and puzzles us. It makes us panic! Our imagination can overwhelm us and even lead us to feel as if we can’t breathe.
3) It is I.Do not fear: Jesus wants to remind you that he comes into your life and wants to stay. He comes to stay forever. He makes a place for God that allows him to help you find the heaven you’ve been looking for so long. Do not fear! Move forward knowing that you have a beautiful future, and when that smile is on your face, please don’t let it fade. Keep smiling!
God-bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Heaven is our goal !
