Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 11, 25-27
At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

1) Give Thanks: Today is a good day to think about what you have and be thankful to God for it. It is important to look around you and be grateful for what you have. We know we are very demanding; we ask for this, we ask for that, we ask for help, but today take the time to think of the things you should be thankful for. Yes, you should thank God for your job, your family, your daily bread. So, take a sheet of paper and a pen, or perhaps your cell phone, and make a list of the things for which you have to be thankful. What do you think? It is a great opportunity to write at least five things for which we should thank God. Surely there are more than that, but let’s start with five.
2) Be small: the key to having a grateful heart and giving thanks in life is humility. Yes,humility, because a humble person will always be grateful, and a grateful person is a humble person; realizing that you are nothing, but with God you are everything. How nice it is to lie on your back and look at the sky, see the stars and realize how tiny you are in such a huge universe. Nevertheless, even being so small, we are God’s lovely children. You are very important to God.
3) To know: It will be our daily task to continue to get to know God and be in his presence, in contemplation. That is why the way to get to know God better is not found in books. The key to knowing Him is to get close to Him; talk to Him and listen to Him. Keep going with strength because God loves us – that is another reason to thank God.
