Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 9, 43b-45

While they were all amazed at his every deed,
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Pay attention to what I am telling you.
The Son of Man is to be handed over to men.”
But they did not understand this saying;
its meaning was hidden from them
so that they should not understand it,
and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

Everything has its own time

1) Amazed. We live our religion knowing it is beautiful to be with Jesus and to follow Him. Knowing Jesus is the most amazing thing that can happen in your life. When you get to know Jesus your whole life changes in such a way, you end up falling in love with life and everything around you. Also, once you really get to know Jesus, you can’t say you love Him and at the same time hurt your brother. Again, if you know Jesus, you change, your inner life changes, and you want to be more like Him.

2) Fanaticism. Be careful, when a Christian falls into fanaticism, he hurts the Church and hurts himself. Fanaticism makes a person forget limits. It can even fall into a sort of “mysticism” and make a person start saying “God told me this, or the Virgin Mary told me that,” with no basis from the teachings of the Church. Be careful! The Pope already addressed this matter when he spoke about people who were more dedicated to reading revelations or visions than the Word of God. I am talking about excessive extremes here.

3) Complement one another. Discovering Jesus helps us look deep into ourselves. We are on the right track when visions or revelations lead us closer to Jesus, until we change our attitude. Like the messages from our Lady of Fatima or Lourdes, they lead us to enter into Jesus’s mystery, enlighten us with His Word, and invite us to the celebration of the Eucharist.
We complement each other when we come together as brothers and sisters and share the Eucharist. We are not fans; we are loving disciples. We are pilgrims who want to be happy discovering life.
God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And do not forget Heaven is our Goal.
