Luke 11, 27-28

Luke 11, 27-28

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 11, 27-28

At that time, while Jesus was speaking to the people, a woman from the crowd, raising her voice, said to him: “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nurtured you.”

But he said: “Better, blessed are those who hear the word of God and do it.”

Happy with the person that walks along with you

1- A woman. The image of the woman is very important. She is the one that provides the most beautiful aspect of humanity, a child. It is a woman, through motherhood, who cultivates values and virtues in the child’s heart. God gave us great gifts through the creation of women. We are very thankful to women. They give us life, softness, closeness, and tenderness to face a world full of violence. They bring delicacy in a world that threatens us. Thank you for being so humane in an inhumane world. Thank you for being a woman.

2- Raise your voice. I invite you as a good Christian to raise your voice on behalf of those who are afraid to speak; to raise your voice in prayer on behalf of those who do not know God and are discouraged to speak to God. Raise your voice to remember and remind others that Jesus is our path, our truth, and our life! Your voice, today, is the gospel, the announcement of the Good News.

3- Happy Mary. It is through Mary that we can find happiness. She is the announced promise. In Mary we see a woman committed to God. Through Mary, we see life itself; she is happy and reminds you to be happy even when you encounter the cross in your life – the cross she saw when they crucified her son. Hope never lets us down and she reminds us that for the one who believes, everything will be achieved.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And do not forget Heaven is our Goal.
