Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 18, 35-43

As Jesus approached Jericho
a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging,
and hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what was happening.

They told him,
“Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
He shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!”
The people walking in front rebuked him,
telling him to be silent,
but he kept calling out all the more,
“Son of David, have pity on me!”
Then Jesus stopped and ordered that he be brought to him;
and when he came near, Jesus asked him,
“What do you want me to do for you?”
He replied, “Lord, please let me see.”
Jesus told him, “Have sight; your faith has saved you.”
He immediately received his sight
and followed him, giving glory to God.
When they saw this, all the people gave praise to God.

What do you want me to do for you?

1) A blind person. He sat on the edge of a road. He is a person without strength, but most importantly, he is without hope. He is the reflection of a person who has given up on life, who doesn’t fight, and who walks through life indifferently, not hoping for anything or actively doing something in his life. Please think of all the experiences that you have lived through this year. Perhaps, because of everything you have been living during the year, you do not feel like walking on because so many things have happened to you that you too have become “blind.” Ask yourself today whether you are a doer or a viewer in your life.

2)Be quiet. They wanted to keep him quiet; the crowds wanted him to shut up. Perhaps the number of things you have to do today prevent you from meeting God. The lack of time we all say we have leaves no time to talk to God. You must create time to listen to God.

3)“Lord, please let me see.” Today, we ask Jesus to be able to see. Your life is a constant search for the truth, and you must learn to see what is happening around us and within us. Today, God wants to make you see that He is with you.

God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Always remember, Heaven is our goal.
