Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21,5-11

While some people were speaking about
how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings,
Jesus said, “All that you see here–
the days will come when there will not be left
a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.”

Then they asked him,
“Teacher, when will this happen?
And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?”
He answered,
“See that you not be deceived,
for many will come in my name, saying,
‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’
Do not follow them!
When you hear of wars and insurrections,
do not be terrified; for such things must happen first,
but it will not immediately be the end.”
Then he said to them,
“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues
from place to place;
and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.”

There will be signs

1) Costly stones. Today, let’s discuss one of the most common weaknesses of Christians: living only for the sake of appearances. We must fight against our desire to impress others. There are people that go through life doing things to impress as if they were in a fashion show and as such, have no substance, only show. Of course, they can have superficial impacts, but they will have no depth. It is often hard to distinguish when we do things only to be recognized or praised.

2) Stability. You must look for stability and seek refuge in God. God gives us answers and our life has a deeper meaning if He is at the center. You reach stability when you see who and what you can count on. Stability in life means knowing who you are and not depending on what others say. God is always with you and must guide your life. He knows your strengths and weaknesses, so work within yourself to find Jesus. Your stability is Jesus.

3) The second coming. There will always be painful and tragic events and catastrophes, but our faith leads us to God and we must find comfort in Him. Do not fear what you have to go through, God is with us always and we must think that in the end when we will see Him face to face. We can overcome anything because He is with us always.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
And remember, Heaven is Our Goal !
