Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 3,1-8
There was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother’s womb and be born again, can he?”
Jesus answered, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.
What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.
Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’
The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Be reborn from up above because things do not end here
1) It was dark: this is the attitude of the person who is always in hiding and is afraid that others will see him with Jesus. There are Christian who are also like this, who are afraid to be associated with things of God. This is what I call the “syndrome of the adolescent altar boy” because they love to help during mass, but when you are adolescent you are afraid to get laugh at for helping. There are people today, who are afraid of what others will say because they are searching for things that are important. Look for God and feel proud of your search for Him.
2) What is flesh, flesh it is: Life is not only this. There is something more, and Jesus wants to remind you of this. Everything in life is not this, Heaven exists and is waiting for you. You have a ticket and this ticket is VIP. Do not stay only with the physical, do not get your fill only with money or the latest car. Material possessions are not all in life. Direct yourself higher, to gain entrance to Heaven is very important for all, and not to having the latest model car.
3) The wind blows: Today God sends wind to your life in order to move you and remind you that you are headed up above. You are going to have eternal life and a smile that do not end. Be happy and make others happy because together we will go to heaven and we will all meet there. Until we reach heaven, we do not stop.
