Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 11, 28-30

Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Going to Jesus

1. Come to me. Whatever you are facing today, turn to Jesus. Talk to Him, within yourself. Take your time and ask Him for the comfort you need or the strength you need today to go on, because problems will always be bigger than us and it is true that sometimes we feel tired. Worries beat us down and drive us out of our minds. So, abandon yourself to Him and inwardly ask Him never to let go of you.

2. Take your burden.  You must also accept your life, with all it implies, because if you don’t risk, you don’t win. This means to bear the burdens because life is not always a bed of roses. But, even then, when a rose has many thorns, it will have a lovely scent, because the thorns protect and strengthen the stem. So, learn to see that the thorns in your life are those that make you return to your center, and to what it is that strengthens you. Don’t move away from your essence. Embrace who you are and live life with all your personal history towards the adventure of what you want to become. Always move forward. Do not obsess over things in life that do not lead you to anything good because obsession kills talent and puts more weight on you which holds you down.

3. Yoke. I learned this in the countryside: the yoke is that wooden bar or frame by which two oxen are joined at the heads or necks for working, and it helps them to pull the weight equally. In life, faith is what helps you to pull along your own life. Faith and fear have some similarities and basically, one essential difference.  Fear leads you to think about an uncertain future, faith does too. But faith leads you to think about it from a positive perspective yet fear from the negative one. Both are in you, only that faith soothes you and fear imposes more weight. You decide which of these yokes you want to take on in your life.

Never forget that something good is on the way!

God bless you and be with you, in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
