Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 3,7b-15
Jesus said to Nicodemus: “’You must be born from above.’
The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to him, “How can this happen?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?
Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.
If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
Supernatural vision
1) The blow: Jesus reminds us today that being reborn implies to come back to freedom and to remember that God makes us free. While we as people, are always being tied down to structures that each of us build. This is a curious aspect of humans, we build structures and at the beginning everything goes well, but later on this structure asphyxiates us because we are unable to abandon it, or you become dependent on it. You often times live to comply, and you do not live a plentiful life. In the religious aspect, this also happens to us.
2) Testimony: God invites us to look at our lives and to re-live it from the reminder that God is always participating in our lives. Do not give up on the fight and look what God is doing in your life. There is a story behind you that explains who you are today.
3) Eternal life: Remember to look up to the heavens. Your objective is to be happy and you have a higher goal to look forward to, reach heaven. Where there are no structures, you do not have suffocation, there is life and plentiful of life in abundance.
