John 6, 22-29

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6,22-29

[After Jesus had fed the five thousand men, his disciples saw him walking on the sea.] The next day, the crowd that remained across the sea saw that there had been only one boat there, and that Jesus had not gone along with his disciples in the boat, but only his disciples had left.
Other boats came from Tiberias near the place where they had eaten the bread when the Lord gave thanks.
When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they themselves got into boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus.
And when they found him across the sea they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”
Jesus answered them and said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled.
Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him the Father, God, has set his seal.”
So they said to him, “What can we do to accomplish the works of God?”
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in the one he sent.”

The miracle is that you are alive

1) the work of God: if you realize everything you have around you, you see miracles everywhere. Think of all the people that give testimony of the miracles around us. There is a video focusing on Tony Melendez who shows us that without arms, he met with John Paul II when he was the Pope and played his guitar for him with his feet. Do you realize what he was able to do and the wonderful music he produced? His willingness and vision were supernatural. He mentions the fact that seeing people with arms, he believes that is also a miracle, he was born without.

2) You are a miracle: Jesus made and is making many things for you and with you. You just must realize and see all the work of Jesus. Do not fear, God is holding your hand and you must discover how he is impacting your life without you realizing it. You are a key player also in other people´s lives. Please understand this.

3) The follow-up: The follow up that Jesus gives us is unconditional love, a love without any interest. It is not how you suspect it is. You give to receive. No, Jesus is always giving no matter what. His follow up is discovering to fall in love with our life and He enables us to see our life like a miracle that it is.
God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Remember Heaven is our goal!
