Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 28,1-10
After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, approached, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.
His appearance was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow.
The guards were shaken with fear of him and became like dead men.
Then the angel said to the women in reply, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified.
He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”
Then they went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce this to his disciples.
And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
Life conquers!
1) Mary Magdalene, she is the person who waits. She is a person that has faith and puts all her trust in God. She knows something spectacular awaits. Today Mary Madgalene shows us, that besides our quarantine, something wonderful awaits. Everything will pass, and our faith must be centered around Jesus who is eternal. Do not let the darkness of sadness or bitterness consume you. Heal your tears and despair with hope.
2) Do not fear: We must not be afraid, we are Catholics that can face anything because we have God who is alive, by our side. Today, we invite to give back to a society that is hurt and lowered by all we are living. We are living a different side of history that we will remember always. Come on! You must be light to the ones that need you. There is one thing that can turn off the light and that is fear. Please not let fear turn out the flame that burns in you.
3) To announce: Today we go out and tell everyone that Christ is alive and well, that He has many things to show the world. When the quarantine is over, you must help to rebuild and give hope to others. You are very important to accomplish this. To help, there is no age, there are millions ways it can be done to do good. You must put forward your best self, imagine a better world and build it. We need all the creative Christians we can find. I believe in you, do you believe in yourself? Resuscitate!
May God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit .
