Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 10,22-30
The feast of the Dedication was taking place in Jerusalem. It was winter.
And Jesus walked about in the temple area on the Portico of Solomon.
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
Jesus answered them, “I told you and you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me.
But you do not believe, because you are not among my sheep.
My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand.
The Father and I are one.”
Hear His voice
1) Openly: Jesus speaks clearly and without hiding anything. You also have to learn to say things clearly; do not “beat about the bush” or misinterpret things… be straightforward in your actions . There is no need for anyone take notes of what you say or do. Have clear intentions .
2) You are from God: Listening to Jesus implies following Him. Do not stop listening to God and seeking Him. You are His… you play on His team. Put on your team jersey and play for Him. To follow Jesus makes you fall in love, and changes your viewpoint. That is why it is an adventure to follow Jesus. Don’t forget you have been called to an Eternal life.
3) Eternal life: He offers you Eternity! He leads you to an eternal life so you can have a relationship with Him and enjoy everlasting life with Him. He doesn’t want to complicate your life, on the contrary, He makes life good.
So, don’t be afraid of what God invites and proposes to you… it is something great! Sometimes, at first, you might not understand God’s action in your life, but with time , you will understand.
There is a lot to be done in this world and you can do much in the lives of those around you. Don’t be afraid because God is very close to you . He is inviting you to fall in love with Him so you can make others fall in love with Him too.
