Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 12,38-42
Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”
He said to them in reply, “An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.
Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here.
At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and there is something greater than Solomon here.”
The signs are sensible for you
1) Signs: In life, we always need to pick out the things we want, as a result we must always choose the road to take. To choose well, there are things that help the process along like prayer, signs and the gospel. Prayer is to ask God for direction, the signs to orient and help us along the way. They are things that call your attention and you cannot avoid. The dialogue you can use with your spiritual guide about the gospel, since two people think better than one.
2) Bad generation: there are times, we only demand and demand. It is complicated when you only complain and there is nothing right about your life. There are always obstacles that ruin your peace or happiness, and often times you are the one that seeks the problems. Today I invite you to open your eyes and live a plentiful life where you add for the better and not for the worse.
3) Someone who lives for the better: in life, there are prophets that God puts in your way. There are people that come to us in order for us to react and change our ways. Christians are called upon to be light in other people´s lives and accompany others that need a little push in order to continue forward. We must help the people that have fallen and lend a helping hand. We are called upon to hug the people that feel dirty and alone. St. Francis was not afraid to hug a leper. You have his example where you cannot be afraid to hug and show your affection to others. Hug and accompany your brothers and sisters this is a great quality we must all show.
