Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 18,1-5.10
The disciples approached Jesus and said, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a child over, placed it in their midst,
and said, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.
See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.
Angels protect us
1 Be small. Never forget this: the person who knows Jesus does not seek greatness and positions; does not seek to be in the spotlight; nor does he want to be the star. He who knows Jesus lives in smallness which is a gift from God. To be small is to know that God is so great that He encompasses everything and fills us with His love.
2 Do not despise others. When we know Jesus, our heart opens wide. Christians do not despise others, but rather seek to do good without judging. We try to remember that we are all children of God…that is of the utmost importance. That is why we see every person as unique and worthy.
3 Angels. Today we celebrate the Memorial of the Guardian Angels. Those who care for us day by day, at every moment. Begin to strengthen your relationship with your guardian angel. Remember that God loves you so much; so much that He wants to take care of you at every moment and that’s why He has granted you an angel… one specially for you. Do you know why? Because God wants everyone to be saved and be with Him. Do you want to be with Jesus? I’m sure you do! Come on! Your guardian angel is with you to help you.
