luke 2, 16-21

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 2,16-21

The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger.
When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child.
All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds.
And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart.
Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.
When eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

The joy to announce

1) The shepherds: It is the figure of the one who daily works, who roams and fight in life. He is the shepherd who takes care of his family, who works to bring food home, who has to fight in a difficult society. It’s the simple one. In this new year that we begin, we must have a heart like those shepherds. Find ourselves to Jesus and never get rid of him. He is our peace.

2) Announce Him: Begin this new year announcing Jesus with your closeness and simplicity. May this year be humble to you, being simple, don’t let caught by your fears and your pride. Announce Him everyday with a good gesture. Don’t be that kind of Christians who go to mass and have a Stone heart. Be a shepherd who’s always looking to share joy.

3) Mary: We begin this year next to her, we entrust ourselves and this year to her hands. Perhaps you are or you are not very Marian believer. Try to put yourself in her hands. She is the morning star, the one who is always there when everything seems dark. Come on! May this new year, Heaven is our goal!!!…
