Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 14,1-6
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.
In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
Where (I) am going you know the way.”
Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Life
1) Do not worry: today we have to move on. We are going through this challenge together; continue to hold on. This is not going to last forever. When you are restless you make mistakes. It is like in football: the opponent must constantly provoke the star player,to distract him, so that he does not think and thus control the game. You are the star player of your team: your family. Don’t let this situation distract you and make you lose the game of your life. Your time is golden, and you are worth a lot. THINK before you ACT, and do not let yourself be carried away by passions or impatience. You have time on your side. Be calm. Everything will eventually settle, and you will make the best move of your life, towards the goal of happiness. Be patient.
2) I’m going to prepare a place for you: How nice it is to know this! God is with us and He does not leave us alone. He comes to accompany us and to remind us that there is an eternity… that death does not have the last word. You, with God, have the last word. Put all the enthusiasm that you have into this life, so that with Christ, you can do everything.
3) Life: there are times when we believe that the happiness of the other is our responsibility. More than anything, I refer to relationships of an affective love bond. I cannot be responsible for someone else’s happiness,… But I have the responsibility to be sure that I am Not the reason for their UNhappiness ! I cannot make anyone happy, except myself with God… but I can make many people unhappy! There are times that we do not work towards building our own happiness, and therefore, nobody can give what they do not have.
In the case of couples, for example, there are no happy couples, but rather there are two happy people who get together to form a couple.
May God give you the strength to be happy and God-bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Remember, heaven is our goal!
