Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 28,16-20
The eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them,
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
Look to heaven
- They went to Galilee: This is the job of Christians; to generate community. Wherever Jesus goes, there is community and communion. Today, Catholics must be more united than ever, seeking the good of all and wanting the good for all: Christians, non-Christians, believers, and non- believers. We, because we have Jesus, can come together… He unites us, He does not isolate us.
- Go: We have to shorten distances. You and I have a lot to give, but above all, we are His disciples; we are on His team. Move forward, aim straight ahead; because we want to bring peace to everyone. We cannot be customs officers of faith; we cannot go around like highway police asking for documents to see whether or not they continue on the Christian path. Make it easier and stop being a bureaucratic Christian who only handles papers and rules.
- He will be with us: He promised us that where two or more are gathered in his name, He accompanies us. Therefore, together we can do a lot and grow in many aspects. I repeat again, God never leaves you alone, He walks next to you and if you fall, He picks you up because He knows what this path implies . Stay on the path, keep your eyes on the goal of Heaven!
God-bless you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
