Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 16, 12-15
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,
he will guide you to all truth.
He will not speak on his own,
but he will speak what he hears,
and will declare to you the things that are coming.
He will glorify me,
because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
Everything that the Father has is mine;
for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine
and declare it to you.”
Spirit of Truth
1) Spirit. You and I are called to forge our souls in the grace and presence of the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit who enlightens and strengthens us to strive day by day in our lives. It is necessary to forge our hearts knowing that in life we must face difficult situations in all areas, whether physical, emotional or spiritual. It is the Holy Spirit who helps us to overcome our own struggles.
2) Truth. No one likes to be lied to and as Christians we are called to live in the truth and always tell the truth. It is living in truth where we show ourselves as children of God because lies hurt and do a lot of harm. Let us heal with truth and soothe with charity.
3) Father. Take advantage of this day to ask the Holy Spirit to be able to meditate on what it means to be a child of God and to know that God is your Father, a tender Father of great mercy who constantly seeks to enter into your life. He is the God, the Father who goes out to look for you.
God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And always remember that Heaven is our goal.
