Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5,17-19
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
May your life be fulfilling not just compliance
1- The law. Remember that the commandments have been clearly defined for our lives. Even the order in which they were given marks a particularity in our lives… you start learning to love your neighbor and you end life avoiding clinging to things that are not yours. May your life be ruled by law, not as a judge or a religious policeman, but as a person who is free and in love with life.
2 Complying. Who has never had a fall? We all make mistakes, and we fall. We run wild, mess up, and laws are broken, but God is with us so that we can get up and start again.
Sometimes following God’s law is difficult and we make mistakes thousands of times. We are imperfect people, but the important thing is to return to the center. Go back to what you know is true, even if it means paying the price for those mistakes with tears. Do not stay staring at what you have lost, focus on where you are going.
3 Greatness. We must be aware that we are weak and that we must struggle daily to seek happiness. Don’t think too highly of yourself, or believe that you are perfect and without sin, because you are not. You are a sinner that can only survive thanks to God. Don’t stop fighting to find happiness in your life, and don’t ever give up. Do not lie to yourself just to fill your time. Instead, fulfill your life. God is inviting you to do something new, to be fulfilled!
God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Never forget that Heaven is our goal!
