Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 10, 1-7

Jesus summoned his Twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness.
The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;
Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.
Jesus sent out these twelve after instructing them thus, “Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.
Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'”

Jesus chose them

1)Jesus prayed. Jesus chose his disciples, but before He did so, He prayed. He talked to God. And this is very important for you as well. Before you make a decision or a choice you should also pray and talk to God. Tell him what’s going on in your life. Sometimes, the many occupations of your day may lead you to make quick, spur-of-the-moment decisions. Give God his place so He can make the decisions in your life together with you.

2)Jesus chose his disciples. This is the best part – it is God who chooses you, who calls you by name. He never regrets choosing you and constantly seeks your affirmative reply. The choice is His and the response is yours. God never gets tired of seeking you, and He does not regret his decision of choosing you to be a part of His family.

3)The sending out of the disciples. When you become part of His family, He sends you out on a mission. Every disciple is a missionary and every missionary is first a disciple. This is important to bear in mind, when there is a call there is also a mission. God chose you for something special and the mission you have is to save souls. How do you do this? That I don’t know; you have to talk to God about that. God Himself will tell you the way to carry out your mission, with signs He will give you every day. And that’s your part, identify these signs of God in your life.

God bless you and be with you, in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Remember, Heaven is our goal!
