Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 11, 28-30
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
God will give you rest
1) Come. Today God proposes that you should come back to Him, to find Him again. I’m sure that at one time or other you found God and invited Him into your life, but this crazy life that you lead may have taken you away from Him; you may have distanced yourself from God. That happens to all of us. So, let’s go back to Him. He always welcomes us with open arms.
2) Tired and burdened. We have a clear picture of what this means. Physical tiredness happens because of the kind of life we lead. It has overtaken us without giving us the possibility to pause and take a breath. Being burdened is the psychological and spiritual tiredness that we feel. When we do not let our mind rest, or we do not give our spirit the time to repose, we can feel overwhelmed. This tiredness is more difficult than the physical type because your muscles can rest, but it is not easy to let your mind rest. I invite you to rest and let your worries go. Today, analyze what issues burden you and invite God to help you solve them.
3) Humble of heart. Jesus’s heart is always open for you. During Advent, it is important to return to the right road, the road to God, because He desires your happiness and He wants you to be eternal. Search for God, He will relieve your pain. We are on the road to Bethlehem. God bless you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Remember, heaven is our goal!
