Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 3, 7-12

Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples.
A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea.
Hearing what he was doing,
a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem,
from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan,
and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon.
He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd,
so that they would not crush him.
He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him.
And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, “You are the Son of God.”
He warned them sternly not to make him known.

Jesus heals

1) Jesus withdrew.  It’s important not to remain stagnant in life.  Both success and failure make you feel stuck, static. When we are successful, we believe we should stay where we are because it’s working well for us and that leads to future failure. Success makes you dizzy.  It’s like anesthesia. And if you keep on turning around in failure you also get stagnated because you feel you can’t get out.  Life is dynamic, you have to move on and walk towards a goal.  Don’t get stuck either in success or failure.  Jesus continued, He did not stay in the area, and He was doing well there, but his life objective kept him down to earth. When success or failure make you dizzy and you get stuck in them, everything collapses.

2) With His disciples. I think that something that helps us a lot is to see Jesus is always in a community.  He doesn’t cut himself off, He shares, He lives life with others. Don’t isolate yourself, don’t shut yourself off, don’t let this week go by without visiting someone or sharing with someone.  It’s not good for you to close yourself off. Loneliness is not a good companion and there are many people who would like to share time with you.

3) Follow Him. Following Jesus also implies healing. It means to be able to allow yourself to be touched by Jesus to heal your inner self so as to be able to build your life.  Let yourself be healed and accept your ‘sore points’. To be healed, you must first show Jesus what needs to be cured in you and be honest with him. Show him what truly hurts. Remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
