Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6, 60-69

Many of the disciples of Jesus who were listening said,
“This saying is hard; who can accept it?”
Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this,
he said to them, “Does this shock you?
What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail.
The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.
But there are some of you who do not believe.”
Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe
and the one who would betray him.
And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me
unless it is granted him by my Father.”

As a result of this,
many of his disciples returned to their former way of life
and no longer walked with him.
Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?”
Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go?
You have the words of eternal life.
We have come to believe
and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”

The Spirit leads you to God. Allow yourself to be guided

1) The Spirit.  You and I must work on allowing the Spirit to act in us. We have to be aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life. Let yourself be touched by Him and open your soul to the Spirit of the Lord. Talk to Him, let Him guide you, He will heal you. This is not just for people in the charismatic movement or only as part of your Pentecost prayers. We tend to leave the Holy Spirit aside. Start connecting with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to move in you. He can sanctify you and heal you. In order to do this, you have to believe.

2) Believe. This is your own personal process, don’t stop believing. We Catholics believe in Someone, Someone that is alive and real and that Someone we believe in is Jesus. Believe because if you don’t, your life will become bitter and hard. Believe because those who believe see life differently: we have Hope.

3) Come to me. God gives us strength and only with Him can we truly live happily. Let’s live our life in God. I will fail you; people will fail you, but God never fails. He is always faithful. Let’s ask God to fill us with his love and peace so that with a full heart we can move the world.

And remember something good is on the way.

God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
