Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 7, 6, 12-14
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.
“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.
This is the Law and the Prophets.
“Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few.”
Every good tree bears good fruit
1. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Today, you and I must work on this, on being authentic. Our life must be shaped by who we are, by being honest and genuine. We can’t be two-faced or seek to take advantage of things or people, we can’t modify our beliefs or ways of behaving depending on the person we’re with and we shouldn’t hide our ideals in order to fit in or to give a different image to others. Neither can we appear falsely to destroy others. This happens to us even in the Church, as some use the fact that they belong to the parish or a church group to take advantage of others. So, be authentic and sincere.
2. The tree. You have a path to follow in life and the aim of your whole life is to bear fruit, and you will do so at the right time. Don’t despair, be patient. For there to be fruit there needs to be a process. Are you clear about what you want to give us of yourself? When you are clear about this, work on how to achieve it.
3. By their fruits you will know them. Actions follow being and therefore your life will be understood according to your attitudes and not by your intentions. This is the struggle you will have all your life, since many times attitudes don’t follow intentions, and this is a sign of immaturity in life.
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Always remember that something good is on the way.
