“Sounds of Freedom” is a movie by Angel Studios that exposes child trafficking worldwide. The film is directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Monteverde and produced by Eduardo Verastegui. The movie was released last 4th of July in theaters in the United States.

The movie stars Jim Caviezel, who plays Tim Ballard, a U.S. national security agent. After rescuing a child from traffickers, he learns that the boy’s sister has been kidnapped and quits his job to go and save her. The movie is based on actual events and aims to make viewers and the entire world reflect on child trafficking and exploitation. Oscar winner Mira Sorvino (Katherine Ballard) and Emmy award-winner Bill Camp (Batman), Eduardo Verastegui as Paul, and Jose Zúñiga as Roberto, among others, also star in the movie.

In real life, Tim Ballard founded O.U.R.(Operation Underground Railroad), a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting against child trafficking and sexual exploitation. To date, O.U.R. has saved the lives of more than 4,000 children.

Jim Caviezel emphasized that “this is the second most important movie I’ve made after The Passion of Christ.

“Our future is children. Now, the first step to eradicating this crime is awareness. Go and see Sounds of Freedom,” stated Mel Gibson, who produced The Passion of Christ.
