Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 18, 1-5, 10
The disciples approached Jesus and said,
“Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?”
He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said,
“Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children,
you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.
Whoever humbles himself like this child
is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.
And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones,
for I say to you that their angels in heaven
always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.”
Angels protect us
1. Be small. Never forget that a true disciple of Jesus does not seek greatness or positions. True disciples do not seek to be in the spotlight, nor do they want to be the stars. True disciples live in that smallness only achieved by God’s grace. Being small is knowing that God is so great that He embraces everything and fills us with his love.
2. Do not despise. Once you find Jesus, your heart opens up. Christians do not despise, but rather, they seek to do good without regard to whom. Remember, we all are children of God; that is true greatness. That is why every person is unique, every person is valuable.
3. Angels. Today we celebrate our Guardian Angels, those who take care of us every moment of every day. Start bonding with your guardian angel today. Remember God loves you so much and wants to take care of you at all times that He sent an angel just for you. Your own angel to guard you and walk with you along your path to Heaven. God wants everyone to be saved and be with him eternally. Do you want to spend eternity with God? Come on! Let your angel help you.
God bless you, be with you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Remember that something good is on the way!
