Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21, 29-33
Jesus told his disciples a parable.
“Consider the fig tree and all the other trees.
When their buds burst open,
you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near;
in the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that the Kingdom of God is near.
Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.”
His words will never pass away
1) You know. There are things that do not need to be explained because they are common sense. You can’t play either the fool or the victim in certain situations; you must face them. You need to open your eyes and be attentive to what is happening around you and within you. You can’t live in a bubble, and you mustn’t lie to yourself.
2. Accept what comes. Every time you make a decision, you must accept the consequences. You can’t pretend they don’t exist. Accept the good things and also what you’ve done wrong. You have to be aware of your mistakes, learn from them, and accept responsibility. This will make you stronger.
3. Life is passing. The only stable and unchanging thing in life is God. He will always be with you. We are humans and therefore in constant change, but the Gospel remains. Sometimes we worry too much about things that are passing and unstable, those things that come to an end, but we neglect things that are eternal, for example: meditating the Word. Remember “where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” This is a good question to think about today: Where is your treasure?
Never forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you, be with you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
