Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 1, 40-45
A leper came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said,
“If you wish, you can make me clean.”
Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand,
touched him, and said to him,
“I do will it. Be made clean.”
The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean.
Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once.
He said to him, “See that you tell no one anything,
but go, show yourself to the priest
and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed;
that will be proof for them.”
The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter.
He spread the report abroad
so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly.
He remained outside in deserted places,
and people kept coming to him from everywhere.
You are the greatest sign that God exists
1) They put him to the test. Life also tests you, there are obstacles you must overcome, just as when you practise a sport. To strengthen your muscles, you must exercise every day. Practice and training will lead to be better at any sport. In your life, you have had many tests and have cried over them. Obstacles are hard because they often hurt, but in the long run they make you stronger. God never leaves you alone. He is always on your side cheering you on. Keep on fighting with a great ally by your side.
2) Signs. You might feel lost and unsure of what to do or where to go and it’s perfectly all right to ask God for signs. But the important thing is to ask him for signs of what He wants from you. Ask God for light to be able to see. I am sure that the signs from God are in front of you and you just have to look closely. Examine your life. You have had plenty of signs from God in your life, and He will continue to give signs to you.
3) You are God’s best sign. Jesus died to redeem all humanity. You are worth the sacrifice He made. Your life is valuable. You are not a machine; you are a human being in search of happiness. Love who you are, your family and your circumstances. God is with you and helps you carry your cross. Everything will end well. God makes all things new. Let’s begin the week looking in the mirror and asking, ‘Am I a sign of God?’ Of course, you are! Remember that something good is on the way! God bless you and keep you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
