Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 12, 20-33

Some Greeks who had come to worship at the Passover Feast
came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee,
and asked him, “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.”
Philip went and told Andrew;
then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.
Jesus answered them,
“The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
it remains just a grain of wheat;
but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
Whoever loves his life loses it,
and whoever hates his life in this world
will preserve it for eternal life.
Whoever serves me must follow me,
and where I am, there also will my servant be.
The Father will honor whoever serves me.

“I am troubled now.  Yet what should I say?
‘Father, save me from this hour’?
But it was for this purpose that I came to this hour.
Father, glorify your name.”
Then a voice came from heaven,
“I have glorified it and will glorify it again.”
The crowd there heard it and said it was thunder;
but others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”
Jesus answered and said,
“This voice did not come for my sake but for yours.
Now is the time of judgment on this world;
now the ruler of this world will be driven out.
And when I am lifted up from the earth,
I will draw everyone to myself.”
He said this indicating the kind of death he would die.

We would like to see Jesus

  1. Wanting. This is what moves and pushes the search for God. So, repeat this phrase throughout the day, “I want to see Jesus; I want to see you, Jesus”. Look for him because He is available. Ask for help if needed, but don’t stop looking for him because He’s always waiting for you. You’ll be able to see him because He loves you infinitely. So, keep on looking for him because where there is a will, there is a way.
  2. They went to tell him. This should be a Christian’s attitude: telling Christ about those who are seeking God, and praying for them. It’s our job as Christians to help others find Jesus. It’s your task and mine to pray for those who want to meet Jesus and have not been able to yet. If you have found Jesus, you need to lead others to meet Him. Be the path that leads others to Christ and not the traffic policeman on the road to heaven, one who asks for documentation and sets requirements. Help others find Him, don’t complicate their search for the Lord.
  3. Dying to give life. We are called to do this, to set aside our personal likings so that others can find Life, not whims but Life. You have to give a touch of love to this society, offering forgiveness and love to those who are next to you. Forgiving and loving implies dying and fighting. Never stop fighting for love, for whoever loves is willing to take risks and to love until the end.

Always remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
