Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 16, 20-23
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn,
while the world rejoices;
you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.
When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived;
but when she has given birth to a child,
she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy
that a child has been born into the world.
So you also are now in anguish.
But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy away from you.
On that day you will not question me about anything.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.”
The joys of life
- Letting go. If you really want to grow in life and you want to prosper, you must learn to let go. If you fill yourself with things, the path becomes more difficult because your baggage is heavier. You must learn how to let go of situations, worries and even people because you cannot carry everything with you all the time. If you’re able to learn to let go, you will have the opportunity to grow in eternity.
- Sadness. Sadness is part of life. It indicates that there is or will be a change, but it is also a consequence of your acceptance that something is happening in your life, that something is changing. Sadness is a passing feeling, however, when you become sad and dwell in your sadness you can make it eternal.
- Joy. There are those who are happy about what is supposedly going wrong for you. Don’t worry about that, because there are always people who want you to do badly or are against your development; learn to live with this, and don’t be naive. However, there is another joy, true joy, the happiness of having completed an inner process, of knowing that you want to move forward and that you are advancing in life. Those are joys of personal and human satisfaction of having achieved objectives and goals that you set for yourself. That joy also becomes eternity. Live life to the fullest and the joys will come by themselves.
Don’t forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you and guard you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
