Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 7, 6; 12-14
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.
This is the Law and the Prophets.“Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few.”
Sacred things
1. Do not give what is holy. I think one of the things that we’ve neglected in recent times is the sacred. We’ve even allowed a lot of things to be given to mockery. Also, we must remember that even your very life is sacred because God is in you. Today I want to focus on this perspective, stop giving your life, which is sacred, and your time, which is sacred, to things or people that will never respond to you to the extent that they should. Don’t expect to receive what you want and need back from someone who doesn’t reciprocate. Don’t complain or be disappointed about someone who treats you like a dog when you knew from the start what that person’s nature was like. Remember your life is sacred.
2. Whatever you wish that be done to you. This is the key to life itself. Be authentic, act as you really are and make a difference when you meet people. Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier, even if it’s just a smile that you’re able to give them. Never do to others what you don’t want them to do to you. Life is that, helping whenever you can and as far as you can. And if you don’t help others but you realize that you’re actually harming them, distance yourself. Avoid causing harm to anyone and if you have done so, ask for forgiveness. Let’s strive to be better people and if we manage to make someone’s life better, let’s be proud of it.
3. Narrow. Never stop being humble, the greatness of life is made up of small daily battles. Don’t get puffed up with pride by your accomplishments and remember where you came from. When you can lend a hand to someone without them knowing it, you will be a step nearer to paradise. Today give yourself the pleasure of making someone’s life more beautiful, if only with a sincere and simple hug.
Always remember that something good is on the way.
