Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 12, 8- 12
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I tell you,
everyone who acknowledges me before others
the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God.
But whoever denies me before others
will be denied before the angels of God.
“Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven,
but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit
will not be forgiven.
When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities,
do not worry about how or what your defense will be
or about what you are to say.
For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.
Recognizing God
1. Recognize. God invites us to recognize the beautiful things in life. He’s the only one that can do wonders in your life and can satisfy all your needs. That’s when we become witnesses to God’s love and miracles. Your task is to rediscover that encounter you had with God at some point. Try to remember it and return to that experience of peace, joy and enthusiasm. Recognizing God will lead you to find yourself again.
2. Blasphemy. This refers to attacking what’s sacred and one of the issues we’ve fallen into today is not taking care of and defending sacred things. I think it’s a subject that affects us closely, so don’t fail to show respect to everything that’s sacred and to be respectful in your attitudes and the way you speak. If we do not value sacred things it will be difficult for others to value them.
3. Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives life, we cannot forget that our life and our Church are moved by the Holy Spirit. We are a gift to others, and we must all respect the work God does in us and in others through the Holy Spirit. Recognize the greatness of life through the recognition that God has made everything. I invite you to be a witness of life in the midst of a culture that proclaims and celebrates death. Be a witness of communion in an individualistic world. Be happy in a society marked by sadness. Be helpful to others and be a light to them because each of us is worthy. Ask the Holy Spirit for strength, ask him for the seven gifts, and ask him to guide you along the path of life. Don’t be afraid! And let yourself be carried away by the power of the Holy Spirit!
Remember something good is on the way!
God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
