Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 19, 45-48
Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out
those who were selling things, saying to them,
“It is written,
My house shall be a house of prayer,
but you have made it a den of thieves.”
And every day he was teaching in the temple area.
The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile,
were seeking to put him to death,
but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose
because all the people were hanging on his words.
God’s temple
1. The temple. When we speak of a temple we refer to the architecture, but when we speak of the Church we speak of every baptized person, of every soul. Today I’m talking about taking care of our sacred place. By this I’m not only referring to taking care of the premises and making the temple more beautiful, but also of caring for those sacred places with our respect, with our silence, even with the way we dress and the way we go into the temple, because it’s our common home. What do you do for your temple? What do you do to maintain it?
2. Put him to death. When you speak clearly, some people will probably not like it very much. That’s why you have to take responsibility for what you must face, and not victimize yourself. Learn to tackle situations, and always tell the truth. Everything has its time and its moment.
3. His words. Today many people need Jesus and seek him. Look for Jesus always and let him fill you with His love. He never abandons you and will always grant you peace. Ask Jesus to satiate your heart and fill you with that peace that only He can give you.
Never forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
