Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21, 29-33
Jesus told his disciples a parable.
“Consider the fig tree and all the other trees.
When their buds burst open,
you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near;
in the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that the Kingdom of God is near.
Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.”
God is always present
1. Consider. Learn to look at your life and understand that you must be prudent. Being cautious also means being astute and looking at the whole picture, not just a part of it. Don’t rush things and don’t make decisions based on your passions or on your affections. You should be aware that you must look at the signs around you and be responsible for the decisions you make. That’s why it is important to be cautious to decide and quick to let go when you are wrong. I hope you understand me.
2. Summer. Check how you are leading your life and what direction you’re giving it. Stop for a while. We’re about to begin the last month of the year and I’m sure you want to do everything you couldn’t do before. Well, taking up all those activities might complicate your life, instead of helping you, because you get caught up in a turmoil of actions and events. Everything has its time and its moment. Learn to make a decision after thinking things over carefully and don’t fall into thinking about what you have already decided.
3. Will not pass away. The only stable and unchanging thing in life is God. He will always be with you. We are humans and therefore in constant change, but the Gospel remains. God wants you to be happy. Don’t give up! Follow your mission and don’t let the external and outsiders invade your intimacy and your inner treasure. Victor Frankl’s words come to mind: “You cannot control the circumstances or what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you feel and what decide to do about what happens to you”.
Never forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you, be with you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
