Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 17, 20-26
Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying:
“I pray not only for these,
but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
so that they may all be one,
as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
that they also may be in us,
that the world may believe that you sent me.
And I have given them the glory you gave me,
so that they may be one, as we are one,
I in them and you in me,
that they may be brought to perfection as one,
that the world may know that you sent me,
and that you loved them even as you loved me.
Father, they are your gift to me.
I wish that where I am they also may be with me,
that they may see my glory that you gave me,
because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
Righteous Father, the world also does not know you,
but I know you, and they know that you sent me.
I made known to them your name and I will make it known,
that the love with which you loved me
may be in them and I in them.”
I pray for those who will believe
1. Be one. To be united with someone, you must believe in that person. Life is about trusting to come together with those you believe in. That is why, dear friend, unity isn’t just spending time together; it’s about mutual trust and belief. Reflect on whether you are united with and believe in someone. Loneliness is not a good companion; it often stems from a lack of trust. Seek unity through trust and integrity.
2. I loved them. We, Christians must be witnesses of Love, we must be conscious that we are loved. We shouldn’t be bitter people, and we can’t go around embittering others. It’s important to acknowledge the significance of appreciating life and understanding that death does not have the final word. We’re not people of death; we’re people of life. We should focus on promoting life and allowing it to thrive without negativity. So live and let live.
3. I know you. Knowing God means experiencing and contemplating him, knowing that we have been found by him, which leads to living in him. When you experience God, everything becomes easier.
Remember something good is on the way.
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
