Most Reverend Daniel Henry Mueggenborg was born in Oklahoma in 1962 and ordained a priest in 1989 for the Diocese of Tulsa. He earned degrees in geology and theology, including advanced studies in Rome. He served as a pastor, diocesan leader, and professor at the Pontifical North American College. Appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Seattle by Pope Francis in 2017, he was ordained a bishop on May 31, 2017. Since 2021, he serves as Bishop of Reno, Nevada.
