On pilgrimage one does not know how to prepare your heart, but today I heard an anecdote from Saint Francis of Assisi who, before entering a holy place, thought that he was not prepared.
So just hink about it. If Saint Francis was not prepare, t we only had to open our hearts, walk with faith, and receive what the Lord gives us, because if San Francisco was not prepared what can we said ?.
It is our first day in the Holy Land, we have arrived at sunset.
The Lord gives us one of those colorful suns that would amaze even the most ductile of painters.
The Evangelist Mark today (Mk 10, 2-16) “culminates in saying … Then he embraced them and blessed them, imposing their hands on them.” I feel just this dusk that receives us is the way the Lord has to embrace us and impose His hands on us, as if welcoming a friend upon arriving home.
