Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 12,35-38.
Jesus said to his disciples: “Gird your loins and light your lamps
and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks.
Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.
And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants.”Copyright © Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, USCCB
Being vigilant
1.Be ready. Life passes by quickly. There are things that you will not see again and you must be aware that time passes by. Yes, time passes, that’s why it is so valuable and marks your life. Be aware that your life is unique and you are the one writing it. The pencil that writes your life is in your hands. It’s like Pilate said: “What I have written, I have written.”
2. Those who await: We know that the destination of our journey is the intimate encounter with God, where we will manage to constantly grow. Today bring back your heart to God, He is the beginning and end of your life. Like what St. Augustine said: You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
3.Wait on them: How nice is to know that I have God that always seeks my happiness. Yes, God wants you to be happy, so remind yourself that you must fight for your happyness; the only one who can make it difficult is yourself! So cheer up and don’t give up, God has great things ready for your life.
God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And don’t forget: heaven is our goal.
