Luke 21, 5-11

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21,5-11

While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, Jesus said,
“All that you see here–the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.”
Then they asked him, “Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?”
He answered, “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’ Do not follow them!
When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.”
Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.”

There will be signs

1) Precious stones: We can address today one of our weakness which is living only for appearances sake. We must fight our willingness to impress as a habit or out of ceremony. There are people that go through life doing things to impress like you are in a Fashion show and there is no substance only show. Of course, they have an impact superficially but no depth. It is often hard to distinguish how we do things only to be recognized or praised. We can call them frustrated actors or actresses because they revolve around appearances. It always falls short because they do not trust Jesus and all effort is lost.

2) Stability: You must look for stability and seek refuge in God. God gives us answers and our life has deeper meaning if it revolves around God. You reach stability when you see on whom and with what you can count on. Stability in life means knowing who you are and not depending on others to tell you what appearance you have, because this way you can fall easily in despair because these people care for appearances only . God is always with you and must guide your life. He knows your strengths and weaknesses. Working within yourself to find Jesus. Your stability is Jesus.

3) The birth of Jesus is coming: there will always be painful and tragic events in your life, but our faith leads us to God and we find comfort in Him. Do not fear what you have to go through, God is with us always and we must think that in the end when we will join Him. We can overcome anything because He is with us always.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
And remember, Heaven is Our Goal !

Your contribution help us to continue with our mission
God Bless You!
