Matthew 4, 18-22

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 4,18-22

As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen.
He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed him.
He walked along from there and saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them,
and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him.

Jesus calls his disciples

Jesus saw, Jesus calls out for you. You do not choose the road; it is God that plants the seed in your heart to follow and love Him daily. It is to enjoy life with a closeness to God that will allow the relationship and service to grow.

Throw in the nets: It is in the everyday that God appears, and this is where you will find him in the simple things in life. There is no schedule for God. He gives himself always.

Brothers: to follow Jesus implies a contagion. It is something that must be spread throughout the community. The person who believes and follows God cannot live in isolation. The person that follows Jesus belongs and participates in a community and in a family.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
And remember, Heaven is Our Goal !
