Mark 7,24-30

Mark 7, 24-30

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 7,24-30

Jesus went to the district of Tyre. He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it, but he could not escape notice.
Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him. She came and fell at his feet.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
He said to her, “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.”
She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.”
Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.

The faith of a mother is miraculous.

1) A mother: I often think of mothers like yours or mine, how much they have prayed to God for you and me. A mother worries about her child and feels despair when she sees her child troubled without God and without light. The woman is not religious, but when she sees her child like this, she seeks Jesus for help. How many mothers are there that appeal to Jesus on behalf of her children. Today, you are an answer from God made to your mother.

2) The request: God begging and with the mallet giving. The key is this, beg and ask God for grace and the precise moment. Do not break down, rather ask and request often. The woman does not give up and fights for her request. Pray often and ask as much as you want, God is always willing. God does not get tired of listening to you.

3) Liberate the demon: one of the main characteristics of the demon is falsehood. Be whole and honest. Do not possess yourself in the lack of God and falsehood. Be firm and clear minded. God is always by your side.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Always remember Heaven is our Goal.
