John 1,47-51

John 1 47-51

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 1,47-51

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Here is a true child of Israel. There is no duplicity in him.”
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”
Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.”
And he said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see the sky opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

You’ll see greater things

1 Michael. He is the head of the heavenly army and who protects us from the devil. It is important to turn to St. Michael in the fear of the temptations put to us by the devil or when you feel that the devil is trying to get into your life. Turn to St. Michael and ask him to protect you against all evil.

2 Gabriel. He is the heavenly messenger. How much we have to ask of him! When we must say something important, we should turn to St Gabriel to help us find the appropriate time to say what’s important to that person we must speak to. It is St Gabriel who reminds us that Christians must be announcers of the truth.

3 Raphael means “God heals”. St. Raphael is the patron saint of travelers, health, nurses, physicians and medical workers, happy meetings and love relationships. That’s why, in your prayer today, pray for your family or for your daily commute, when you take the children to school or when you go to work. Also pray for your sweetheart and for those close to you.

How beautiful it is to know that archangels are with us and encourage us, help us continue to fight for life and that they want to lead us to Heaven. Remember Heaven is our goal!

God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
