Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 1,18-24.
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.
Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.
Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means “God is with us.”
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.

1) Mary: We could say that everything in her life was already planned. There are times when we believe that our life has been laid out for us and we just have to comply. But life is surprise. Your life is dynamic, because today there may be news that changes your day, and also your life. Accentuate the foundation of your life on your faith; not on people. You are passing through life, me too, but God will remain with you forever. Accept your reality of life, and from this reality look at the beautiful things you can do.
2) Joseph: He had courage, but also temperance. He does not victimize himself, nor does he make himself look the other way. This teaches you and me that it is necessary to take care of our interior spirit before making a decision. It is necessary to know how to listen before deciding, and above all, to put aside pride when you have to build your life and your family. If pride weighs in on your decisions you will destroy yourself by your own bitterness.
3) Save: Your contribution and mine is that we do good here on earth. Never stop doing good ! Let it be that your decision in your daily walk is always to “do good without looking at who it will help.” Have courage… Christ wants to be born!
